Getting The Right Outsoles
The Little Blue Lamb brand was created with the goal of providing children with the best footwear. For over 15 years, the team at Little Blue Lamb has been constantly working to improve every part of their products — and one of our biggest focuses has always been the outsole: the part of the shoe that actually meets the ground.
Every child's day looks different — a wet pool deck, a grassy playground, a marble-floored mall, an HDB corridor after the rain. So instead of one outsole trying to do everything, we've built a family of soles, each engineered and named for where your child is actually going to play.

A quick note on water-readiness: whether a shoe is suitable for water depends on the whole shoe — the upper material, drainage, and how quickly it dries — not just the outsole. So a shoe with our AquaGrip sole isn't automatically a water shoe, and a shoe with a different sole isn't automatically unsuitable for water. We use two badges to keep this clear:
- Splash-Ready — quick-dry materials built for wet play, rain, and pool decks. Great for getting wet, not for submersion.
- Fully Waterproof — a sealed, one-piece build made for full submersion, like our Siloso range below.

As children grow and explore further, our barefoot range offers three distinct soles — each built for a different kind of ground.
AllDay Sole (PS)
A classic multidirectional tread that grips confidently in every direction. This is our dependable, do-it-all barefoot sole — the one to reach for when you're not sure what the day holds.

TrailFlex Sole (RT)
Deep, wave-cut grooves flex with your child's natural stride and bite into uneven ground — built to bring the stability of a proper tread to natural, outdoor terrain.

AquaGrip Sole (OT)
Inspired by octopus suction cups, AquaGrip's dimpled outsole forms a light vacuum seal with every step — built to hold its grip on wet, smooth surfaces where regular soles tend to slide.

- Ideal for: Pool decks, water parks, splash pads, wet tiles

Fully Waterproof: The Siloso DV Build
Unlike our other soles, Siloso's DV construction isn't just an outsole — it's a one-piece, sealed build (similar in spirit to a classic clog) designed for full submersion, not just splashes. A textured rubber piece pattern and wave-groove tread work together to keep grip strong even fully underwater.
