Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do you have a physical store?

We only have an online store at the moment. For any questions about sizing, fit, or materials, feel free to check with us via Chat, Email, Facebook or Instagram.

If you are interested in our Home Trial Programme to receive an additional size together with your purchase to try from the comfort of your home, reach out to us and we will assist you or select the Home Trial Programme checkout. Do note that Final Sale items and non-exchangeable promotions are not eligible for Home Trial Programme.

2. What size should I get for my child if he/she is wearing XX brand in size Y?

Sizing differs across brands, so, it is best to measure your child's feet before picking the shoe size in our brand.

You can refer to our Sizing Help for more details in how to determine the right size for your child.

Rule of thumb, always give allowance. Your child will eventually grow into the bigger size, not smaller one.

Please check out our article about how to measure or check the foot size of children accurately before you purchase our shoes.

3. What is the difference between Baby Styles and others?

Our Baby Styles are specially designed for the young toddlers that are just learning to walk. Their outsoles are the most flexible and the shoes are the lightest in weight. Designs that are not indicated as "Baby" are meant for older toddlers who can walk or run steadily on their feet.

4. Do your shoes fit true-to-size?

For the indicated size, our sandals have a larger fit compared to covered shoes. If your child is between sizes, go 1 or half size down for sandals, and 1 size up for shoes or sneakers.

For sandals with an open-back design, get 1 size down from the actual recommended size.

Some sneakers have a SNUG fit due to their design and thicker padding. You can look out for our indication on their product pages. For these designs, get 1 size up from the actual recommended size.

For more information, check out our article on how to choose the right shoes for babies and kids.

5. Since I cannot let my child try on the shoes, can I exchange them if the shoes don't fit?

Yes, we do accept exchanges for sizing ONLY IF you have purchased a regular-priced item or with a promotion that allows exchanges. If you wish to exchange for another design, it will be considered on a case by case basis.

If you are a first time customer, we strongly suggest that you visit our Sizing Help page first before picking the size for your child. We have provided a very detailed explanation on measuring your child's feet length and width. Once you have the feet measurements, you can use our Size Assistant (available on every collection page and product page) to find out what size you should get for your child.

You can also check out our blog post for more ideas on how to measure your child’s feet for shoe sizing. We also have a printable shoe size chart to make the measuring process simpler.

We believe that it is your responsibility to measure and check your child's shoe size carefully before placing an order on our online store. When in doubt, feel free to check with us via Chat, Email, Facebook or Instagram.

We do not accept exchanges and returns for [Final Sale] items and non-exchangeable Promotions. Due to hygiene reasons, all towels and face masks are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.

6. Can I pre-order sizes that are not available?

Yes, you can place a pre-order for sizes that are shown as 'out-of-stock' on the website. Kindly send us an email and we will get back to you on the stock availability. Upon confirming, we will order directly with our supplier. It usually takes 3 to 4 weeks for the stock to arrive in Singapore.

7. The upper part of my child's shoes have tiny stains, are they defects?

Our shoes are glued and finished by hand, so there will be some tiny dirt on the upper's surface. Some dying stains may be visible too. These do not affect the specifications and construction of the shoes, and we will not accept exchanges or refunds for these reasons.

8. Why do my child's shoes smell of rubber?

Since the soles of the shoes are made of natural rubber material, there may be some smell from lack of ventilation during storage in the factory and warehouse. This is normal and does not affect your baby's health. You just need to ventilate them in a cool place for 3 to 7 days (do not expose them to the sun) to get rid of the smell.

A gentle wipe down is also recommended before first use to clean out dust from storage. Furthermore, your child's feet will perspire during wear, try to air the shoes once a week to clear out any odour.

9. How do I care for my child's shoes?

Before first use, give your child's shoes a gentle wipe to get rid of rubber smell and storage dust.

Regularly, clean the upper and lining with baby wipes to get rid of dirt and stains. If the insoles are removable, you can wash them with mild baby detergents and air them dry. It is recommended to do this once a week to maintain a hygienic insole.

When not in use, store the shoes in a cool dry place.

For most children's shoes that are made with microfiber leather, we do not recommend washing unless necessary. Microfiber leather functions like real leather, so do avoid getting the shoes wet and damp. Dry them as soon as possible and keep them aired to maintain their durability.

10. How fast do baby feet grow?

In general, little feet grow very fast! Before 15 months, it will be a half shoe size every 2 months. After 15 months up until 5 years old, your child's feet will grow half a size every 3-4 months. They will continue to grow every 6-12 months after, until 14 years old for girls and 16 years old for boy.

Our partner podiatrist recommends checking the fit of shoes every 2 months for the younger ones. Generally, there should be a gap of an adult's thumb width between the front and the longest toe (not necessarily the big toe!). This should be done with your child's heel touching the back of the shoes. For footwear that has a removable insole, parents can also take out the insole and get their child to stand on the insole to check for fit.

To get an accurate measurement for your 1 to 5 year old shoe size (by age), read our article to find out how to measure your child’s feet for shoe sizing. You can download our printable kids shoe size chart to make the measuring process simpler. But don’t worry, if you’ve bought the wrong size that doesn’t fit, we offer you a complimentary one-time size exchange (T&C apply).

11. When should I let my baby wear shoes?

Shoes are not recommended if your child is still (1) crawling-standing and (2) cruising (need to hold on to something). You can put on non-slip socks to protect the little toes. Pre-walking shoes with no thick rubber outsole can also be considered.

When your child is walking independently and is able to clear the ground (heel-to-toe walking), pre-walking shoes with flexible soles are recommended. Barefoot or thin and flexible soles are strongly recommended to stimulate spatial awareness and encourage good gait. Some other features to look out for: rounded toe-cap, wide opening, adjustable straps and soft heel counter.

You can check out some of our early-walking shoes with flexible sole, soft material and adjustable ankle straps in the Baby Collection.

12. Do your shoes have arch support?

The Foot Posture Index is used by a podiatrist to assess whether a child has flatfoot. According to our partner podiatrist at Physio & Sole Clinic, 68% of children at 4 years old will be somewhat flatfooted (or an index rating of +6). This means that your child is highly likely normal if his or her feet look flatfooted. The arch will gradually form as their muscles develop and ligaments get strengthened over the years.

Our shoes have minimal arch support. If your child is prescribed a special insole by a podiatrist for flatfoot condition, you can fit this insole into our Podiatry-friendly styles.
